The research topic is selected for the purpose of analytical study of sexual harassment laws in the civilized society the declaration on the elimination of violation against women first define gender-based abuse.

Purpose: Everyone has the right to be free from sexual intimidation and unwanted advances and that such conduct is a punishable offense.

Providing protection from sexual harassment at workplace and promoting a safe and secure environment any act of gender-based abuse which caused physical psychological harm should not be suffered silently. To impart knowledge of sexual harassment to assist victims in redressal along with handling the sexual harassment complaints.

Modesty of a woman is a virtue attached to a woman owing to her sex a girl child of 7.5months was sexually abused and it was held that it will not attract section 354 of Indian Penal Code because a child is not capable of developing sex instinct Supreme Court stated that every woman is born with modesty.
