Introduction
Violence on women is a global problem since ages, and now we are addressing this issue to find solution for this problem. Women have been considered inferior to men and hence their choices and preferences were not of prime importance in the past. But in today’s world we consider men and women as equal entities. Still the problem of violence continues in many houses till date , and women are unable to speak about it, due to many factors some of which includes lack of courage, lack of support, demotivation , fear of divorce and marriage dissolution, financial problem, societal norms and morality etc. Violence on women can be considered specifically gender based violence which has ill effects on their mental and physical health, happening in private or publicly.  The most detrimental impact of this is loss of self confidence and personality. Sometimes women blame themselves only for all that is happening and try to rectify even though there exits no mistake of them.

In this paper, we will look into the impact of “violence on women” in multiple segments of the society.

Effect of Violence on Women
Without doubt, the women are the primary sufferers of violence and they are most affected in all aspects, including mentally, socially, physically in their life. But there are others too, who are not the primary victim , but are secondary sufferers and have negative impact on their life. This can include the parents, children, colleagues, friends, relatives and people dependent on the women financially.  It also has negative impact on society as a whole.

Impact of Violence on Women
Violence has a detrimental impact on women. They feel alone and are unable to trust again on people as like before. The other major impact of violence is the injuries and pain they suffer, sometimes hesitate to even visit doctor. Women feel threatened. They always look towards doing their activities and chores perfectly so that they don’t get beaten by their husband [or the person(s) doing violence]. It is a fair chance that such women can suffer various mental ailments due to existing fear extensively. Women often have to face the society with smile and hide their pain, which is very difficult, due to peer pressure and prestige of family. Also sometimes when they speak about their problem, some people react differently by making them feel inferior or guilty. The question is raised on the character of women if she choses to fight against it, and if not, then she has to continue suffering and bearing pain.

Impact on society due to violence on women
Society also has negative impact when ever such cases of violence come up. This creates fear in the minds of other girls, who fear from getting married. The men are also into pressure because they have to prove themselves, though not all of them are bad.

Impact on workplace due to violence on women
Workplace or the institution also witnesses the reduced output of such women employees who are tortured at home. The frequency of their absence and leave increases and overall productivity decreases. Sometimes other employees are unable to understand the cause of strange nature of such victim women, and they are isolated. Also it becomes challenging for victims to hide their pain.

Conclusion
Impact of violence on women is negative and it creates fear in the mind of not only victim, but her parents, children, relatives and society as a whole. This creates not only physical injuries, but also mental trauma. Victims have to suffer in many ways such as answering and justifying herself, loss of trust from people, personality loss etc. Hence laws should be so strict that people do not dare to do such acts.
